Without volunteers CSSHRM wouldn't be what it is today.
Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, get involved in the community, build your resume and more. The CSSHRM Board has a number of initiatives for this year. Here are a few possibilities for you to consider:
- Assisting with reservations at local meetings
- Subject matter experts for our student groups willing to speak at the student meetings
- Professional mentor to a SHRM student
- Work force readiness
- Ambassador Program – New program this year designed to make our new CSSHRM member feel at home. It may consist of planning a networking activity at one of our meeting, and/or act as a designated table ambassador at our larger meetings.
- Diversity Conference
- Committe Position or Board Positions
If there is a specific area you would like to help, please let me know.
Periodically, we will also send you volunteer opportunities that become available in our local community which will show how Human Resources professionals can positively impact the lives of many. These will usually consist of volunteering at a specific event.
Please contact Ann Wortman if you are interesting in volunteering and what areas you may be interesting in helping.
